About Dinosaur Jr.
Dinosaur Jr. released their first album while still named Dinosaur. The name was better than J Mascis' previous band's name, Deep Wound, but faced a legal problem when the Dinosaurs, another band sued them over the use of the name. Hence Dinosaur Jr. Under this name the band saw its best days, alongside The Jesus and Mary Chain on US festivals and on MTV's 120 Minutes with their hit single Out There off the 1993 album Where You Been.
